Desktop Mode

If a certain Lite App only offers advanced features in their Desktop Mode, but not in their Mobile Mode, then you can configure Hermit to always load that Lite App in Desktop Mode.

This can be configured on a per-Lite-App basis, so that some Lite Apps can always be loaded in Mobile Mode, while others will always be loaded in Desktop Mode.

Desktop Mode is enabled, but still seeing Mobile content?

The operator/owner/publisher of each site makes the final decision about how to format the pages to show you.

Some sites will ignore what Hermit tells them (mobile or desktop), and will instead use the width and height of your screen to decide whether to show you Mobile content or Desktop content. For these sites, Hermit, nor any other browser, can do anything unfortunately.

How to turn it on or off?

1. Launch your Hermit Lite App.
2. Tap on the Settings button to open the “Quick Settings” sidebar.
3. Within Quick Settings, tap on the “More Settings” button.
4. Under “Behavior”, turn “Desktop Mode” on or off.
