Save Passwords in Hermit with “AutoFill with Google”

Enable “AutoFill with Google” in your phone’s Settings

To save passwords, you need to enable a system-wide Password Manager service, such as AutoFill by Google. Saving passwords via AutoFill is fully supported by Hermit.

Detailed Steps

  1. On your phone (not in Hermit), open the “Settings” app.
  2. Go to “System”, then “Language & Input”.
  3. Expand the “Advanced settings” at the bottom.
  4. Tap “Autofill Service”.
  5. Select “AutoFill by Google”.

That’s it, you’re done.

Now go back to Hermit, and when you browse, you will be asked to save passwords when you login for the first time. Enabling AutoFill by Google will also enable saving passwords in many other apps and browsers besides Hermit.

Other Passwords Managers are fully supported as well

If you do not want to use AutoFill by Google, you can use any other password manager as well, and it will be fully supported in Hermit.
